The why is simple, the reason is logical.
I am sure that many of the readers of this blog realize that
I have no tolerance for people who use guns to achieve a nefarious goal. They
must also realize that some of the posts in this blog, and my other blog about larger
than life people of our time (http://gigantesfaculas.blogspot.com/) are about
people who in one way or another do what’s right.
By posting PDN on this site I am giving kudos to people who
understand that we live in uncertain times but still want people to be capable
and safe in what they do. Any fool can go and buy a gun without any formal
training or mindset development going along with that purchase. The results are
often, unfortunate, and sometimes tragically deadly.
PDN offers numerous videos, articles, seminars and regular
emailed articles on personal defense. Some of those topics include such things

The people at PDN seem to understand that a gun in an untrained
hand is dangerous to everyone around them including the owner. They understand
that being well trained in personal defense is a good thing. They also seem to understand
that training develops a safe mindset regarding personal and home defense, and that’s
a good thing.
I have always believed that a society that allows its citizens
to own firearms also has the responsibility to ensure the proper (and legal)
usage of such weapons. Scandinavian countries for example seem to generally accept
and promote the safe use of firearms in a societal context while other
societies such as in Japan
PDN’s articles and training offerings seem to want to
develop a safe culture surrounding personal defense, not just the “wild west”
approach of buy a gun and be a fool when you use it.
